Ball Again Funding Opportunity

Following on from the successful launch of England Basketball's new initiative to increase adult participation, Ball Again, England Basketball are pleased to announce a fresh round of funding available to affiliated clubs, associations and leagues as well as leisure centres with at least one indoor basketball court.

Successful applicants may receive funding to start up to four new Ball Again sessions. Those organisations able to demonstrate success in attracting new participants, or bring back those who had previously stopped playing, can also benefit from the 'Baller Gain incentive fund.

In addition, we are offering eligible organisations the chance to pilot Ball Again TEAMplay, aimed at encouraging higher levels of participation through supporting new and existing weekly / monthly adult leagues.

Level II - Table Officials Course

Applications are invited for the Level 2 Table Officiating Award of England Basketball. Details are as follows ...

The Level 2 Award is for candidates who wish to officiate in local league games or good standard junior/school matches. They should have some prior knowledge of the rules of basketball or have already gained the Level 1 award. Familiarity with a scoresheet would be preferable.

To qualify as a level 2 table official candidates will need to attend the course which includes a 45 minute exam (bring two different coloured pens, blue/black and red) and complete four full length games as a table official (two as scorer, two as timekeeper). There are opportunities to progress to National league games for those who are interested and prove themselves capable.
