Please be aware that Isobel has stood down from the role of G.B.B.A. Chair with immediate effect.
Over her time at the helm, Issy has implemented many changes and proceedures that have changed the way the G.B.B.A. works for the better.
The rest of the committee wish her well in whatever her future holds. As noted above, Isobel has stood down, and during the A.G.M. on Monday, the Secretary, Officials Officer and Fixtures Officer will also be stepping down.
The new Chair needs to have served on the committee previously, and Cass Castello, the current Treasurer, is happy take up the Chair role – but we will need a new Secretary, Referee Officer, Fixtures Officer and, preferably, a new Treasurer.
Those leaving the committee aren’t doing so because they have all fallen out!
And it isn’t because of the workload: we’ve had just 7 committee meetings in the whole year. Most of them have served on the committee for many years and simply need, and deserve, a break.
Please consider joining the committee and helping to run the Gloucestershire League, as well as being in a great position to support local basketball to whatever extent you are able.
If you would like to know more about any role, please contact Dave Whiting (secretary@gbba.org.uk) or Cass Castello (treasurer@gbba.org.uk).
As previously advised, the Annual Genereal Meeting of the G.B.B.A. will take place on Monday 17th June 2024 at the Churchdown Club, Church Road, Churchdown, GL3 2ER, starting at 19:30.
A finger buffet will be provided.
