In memory of Joe Grainger, Gloucester Saxons Basketball Club is hosting its annual youth tournament - Hoopfest - on 24th & 25th May 2025 at Wycliffe College.
Donations raised will go to Leukaemia UK.
For those that know, Joe had an unmatched passion and knowledge for developing young players and the game, dedicating much of his time to ensuring those around him carried the same passion.
It is for this reason Hoopfest was created in 2024, to continue the legacy of Joe, by offering friendly-competitive opportunities to grow the love of the game, develop young players, and ultimately have some fun!
Although Hoopfest is still in its infancy, the vast support it received last year proved how important the game is in helping shape young lives, something that Joe unrelentingly promoted. Hoopfest wouldn’t have been born if it wasn’t for the love and respect we all have for Joe!
So, whether you have fond memories of Joe, love the game, want to donate to a great cause, or just curious, you’re invited to Wycliffe College on 24th & 25th May 2025. If you’re unable to pay us a visit, please use the link should you wish to make a donation (all proceeds go to Leukaemia UK).
