We are running a taster session on Wednesday 30 August 6.30pm - 9.30 pm at Cirencester Deer Park School, Stroud Road, Cirencester GL7 1XB.
There’s no charge and no obligation. The session will be practical and will give you the opportunity to learn about…
- role and philosophy of the referee
- the key calls in the game
- movement and positioning on court
…and test your knowledge of the rules.
After attending this session, and if you are suitably inspired, you will have the opportunity to sign up for a Basketball England Level 1 Referee course, which will take place on Sunday 24 September, at a reduced fee.
Successful completion of that course would qualify you to referee in the Gloucestershire League, and be nominated as one of your team’s required referees for the coming season.
