Congratulations to Hereford Black Cats for winning the Division 1 title in their first season in the GBBA.
Congratutaions also to the YMCA Hawks who lost only one game on their way to winning the Division 2 title.
All that remains is the handicap tournament being played tomorrow at Wycliffe College, Bath Road, Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, GL10 2JQ.
It has been decided that the eligibility criteria for this Sundays cup competition should be changed to :
To be eligible to play in the cup competitions, a player must have been registered with their team as at 12 noon on 25 April 2012. There is no minimum number of games required.

NOTE:To be eligible to play in the cup competitions, a player must have appeared on 5 score sheets for that team at anytime during the 2011/2012 season.

Times are approximate - teams should be ready to play 10 minutes before the stated time- Games to be played with 2 ten-minute halves
- 2 minute half-time
- Each team allowed 1 time-out in the 2nd half only
- In the event of a draw, games will feature a 2 minute overtime.
- 3 personal fouls per player and 4 team fouls per half
- Foul in the act of shooting - basket missed : (2/3) points awarded
- Foul in the act of shooting - basket scored : (2/3) points awarded + 1 bonus point
- 4th team foul - automatic 1 point for non-offending team plus possession
- Unsportsmanlike / technical fouls - 3 points plus possession
There is a £30 team entry to cover court costs which is payable on the day. The GBBA will cover all referee costs. We would ask teams to provide a table official for their games. However, if anyone knows some young people who fancy a days work - we would certainly consider a payment.
Referees - We are struggling a little - so please help if you are available. Fee is half-normal match fee per game (plus travel expenses).
